German carousel cat being stripped of thick paint. Cat stripped and taken apart.
5 lbs. of metal patches, straps, nails and screws removed from cat. Fortunately the wood underneath was sound and solid, not fragmented. Figure is reassembled, nail holes filled, sanded, and ready for primer.
