Antique HAND-CARVED WOODEN DENTZEL CAROUSEL HORSE This is an authentic, early 1900s, hand-carved wooden Dentzel Carousel Horse originally from the Lake Contrary Park in St. Joseph, Missouri (which closed in 1964). The Carousel was installed at the amusement park in the early 1900s with this horse being one of the "Great Dentzel Jumpers with real horse hair tail". A local artist painted and decorated the bridle, reins, and saddle (which is artist signed Marcia Baker 1985). The tail is original to the horse as are the iron bit mountings. Horse measures 55" tall x 57" wide. Post and stand are included. Additional history of the horse is available. SOLD
